NEW! Hanscom Services Transformation Continues

October 17, 2012

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass.  -- Over the last few months, the 66th Force Support Squadron has been busy transforming programs and services in response to Air Force Global Base Support initiatives. Officials from 66 FSS have implemented initial plans to transform the former library, current bowling center and former lodging area in Building 1427 to host relevant programs and services, supportive of the Hanscom community.

"We are leading the way in a new phase of services transformation and we are really excited about it," said Vic Hayes, 66 FSS director. "This phase includes repurposing facilities, along with combining and partnering synergistic services and functions in locations that will improve delivery and expand opportunities for base personnel and residents."

Local libraries welcome base families

August 8, 2012

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Over the past year, several changes to base services have transformed many programs here. One such change has been the base library, which is transitioning to a Learning Resource Center.

According to 66th Force Support Squadron officials, CAC-enabled computers and a seating area will continue to be provided weekdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the former library facility. While some of the library's programs and offerings have moved to the Education and Training Center and Youth Center, local town libraries have also opened their doors to base families and offer tremendous services just as the base library did.
