From Logan Airport, take 93 North (not Rt. 1A). Go
to 95/128 South. Get off at Exit 31B, follows signs to Hanscom Field. Once on base take the second right and go to Bldg. 1425, the Hanscom Inn.
The Vandenberg Gate is open Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on weekends and federal holidays, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Visitor Control Center at the Vandenberg Gate is open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on weekends and federal holidays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Lodging availability at Hanscom AFB is extremely limited; please be sure to make your reservations as soon as you receive orders. Reservations can be made by calling the Hanscom Inn at (781) 225-4444 or DSN 845-4444. Reservation requests also may be faxed to (781) 225-6140 or via email at Hanscom.Inn@us.af.mil.
Check-in: 2 p.m. Check-out: 11 a.m.
Payment Policy: All guests are required to provide a valid credit card at check-in. Guests are required to prepay for lodging when payment is made with cash or check. Space-A guests must pay in advance. All guests staying over 15 days need to return to the front desk at 15-day intervals to pay their lodging bill and/or pay in advance for the next 15 days.
Permissive TDY: Those in Permissive TDY status are authorized 10 days. A copy of your orders or leave form must be presented at check-in.
PCS In: Those in PCS In status are authorized 30 days in Temporary Lodging facilities.
PCS Out: Those in PCS Out status are authorized 10 days in Temporary Lodging facilities.
Separation of Service: Those in Separation status are authorized seven days in Temporary Lodging facilities.
Space Available Policy: Space-A personnel may make reservations in advance based upon projected occupancy, which can range as a minimum of three days to 30 days out. Reservations may be made for stays of up to three days; day-by-day extensions will be granted depending upon availability of rooms.
Non-availability Policy: Contract Lodging (CL) slips are given to authorized travelers when there are no vacancies. In this situation the Hanscom Inn staff will take care to procure the necessary CL reservations. When the Hanscom Inn and all CL hotels are full, a non-availability slip will be issued which allows the TDY traveler to find a hotel of his choice (within per diem rates) on the economy. Travelers must file this slip along with their travel vouchers in order to get reimbursed.
Mail services: We recommend that guests use UPS or FEDEX to ensure
prompt delivery of overnight packages.
