Hanscom AFB Outdoor Recreation is a four-season shop. In the spring and summer, we rent a wide variety of boating equipment, camping equipment, party equipment & sports equipment, most on a daily, weekly and weekend basis. In the fall and winter, we offer ski, snowboard and other winter equipment for rent at discounted rates; a fitting, tuning & wax service for skis & snowboards; winter clothing & accessories for purchase and more. Year round we offer an RV storage lot for boats, trailers & campers, table & chair rentals and propane refills.

	• Massachusetts requires licenses to hunt and fish in fresh water (inland waters) for ages 15 and over. Paper licenses are no longer issued. To purchase a hunting/fishing license or for more information, visit the Department of Fish & Game online.

Propane refills

Propane tank refills at Hanscom Outdoor Rec

Save money and time with our same-day propane tank refill service. Drop off an empty tank* at our office between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday–Friday, and pick it up filled the same day between 3–5 p.m. 20 lb. tank: $15 • 30 lb. tank: $22.50 • 40 lb. tank: $30

*Please ensure that your tank meets the new criteria for safety. All tanks must display an OPD (Overfill Protection Device) stamp. We cannot fill tanks without this device. Tanks must be empty when dropped off. Last name must be on the tank for ID purposes. State law requires 2 safety stickers and a plug on all tanks. Tanks must be re-inspected every 12 years. We can purge new tanks only (for an additional charge of $2). We cannot empty them for you. Propane prices subject to change.
